FAQs

Yes you can play as a family and we even have special family pricing.

Is Footgolf suitable for families as well as adults?

Not really, but the ability to kick a football 20 metres would be required.

Are there any age restrictions?

We would advise against this, unless it is mid-summer and the ground is very dry.

Can I bring a pushchair?

Yes we have a large car park on site which costs £1 p/hr.

Is there car parking?

Yes we have a large bar and café.

Do you sell food and drink?

It’s quite easy, you don’t have to kick the football very far. Each hole ranges between 50-120 metres in length (so one easy kick if you’re Harry Kane).

Is Footgolf difficult?

No, you can wear any clothing you like.

Is there a dress code?

We advise booking and our best prices are online.

Do I need to book?

We advise wearing footwear suitable for the ground conditions at the time. Trainers are perfect in the summer, stud boots will be ok in the winter. Stud boots cannot be worn in the bar.

What footwear should I wear?

If you have one, please bring it, otherwise we have footballs you can hire for a small fee.

Do I need my own football?

9 holes will take between 45-60 minutes

How long does it take to play?

Footgolf is like golf, but you use your foot instead of a golf club to kick a football into a large hole. Count how many kicks you take on each hole and the player with the fewest kicks is the winner!

What is Footgolf?

Both the tees and greens are AstroTurf so won’t be affected by weather conditions.

Can I play in all weather?

Between 60-90 minutes dependant on skill level and peak/off peak times.

How long does it take to play the Pitch & Putt KnockAbout 9?

You’re more than welcome to bring your own clubs with you but we will also have clubs and balls available for use.

Do I need to bring my own golf clubs/balls?

The Pitch & Putt KnockAbout 9 is a 9 hole par 3 course with no hole more than 100 yards. It is for both beginners who have never played before and experienced golfers looking to perfect their short-game.

What’s the Pitch & Putt KnockAbout 9 course?

Your golf balls will be ready for you in your bay when you arrive.

Where do I get the balls from?

Our tracking system works by radars placed around the range and on the roof which are configured to track the balls flight and relay this information to your bay.

How are my balls tracked?

Yes we do – visit our memberships page to see our latest membership offers – https://goodtimegolfin.com/memberships/

I’m a golfer looking to regularly practice my golf swing – do you have any membership?

Yes you can. One of our bay hosts will serve you food and drink straight to your bay.

Can I order food and drink to my Games Range bay?

Balls are unlimited for the duration of your booking.

How many balls do I get to hit?

The Inrange app enables you to sign into your in-bay screen under your won user-account. This will then save all your practice data to your phone and in-turn give you your Inrange Handicap, giving your practice sessions a whole new dimension.

You do not need to download our driving range to your phone to play.

Do I need to download the Inrange App?

This 4-digit code is unique to your booking. Enter this into your in-bay screen when you arrive for your booking and your session will be loaded up for you automatically.

What do I need a Pin code for?

We try to have a good selection of drivers available but we can’t always guarantee a driver in every bay.

Do you have big-headed Driver clubs to use on the Games Range?

You’re more than welcome to bring your own clubs with you but we will also have a selection of clubs available in the bays.

Do I need to bring my own golf clubs?

No skill is necessary In Range caters for both the golfing pro looking to perfect their game and beginners just starting out. Their radar tracking system will track your shots as long the ball is hit about 10 yards in the air and our multiplayer games keep everyone involved no matter their skill level.

Does the Games Range require any golf skill?

Yes the pathways around Volcano Island are pushchair friendly!

We really welcome the development of Good Time Golfin and the range of activities it brings to the area, it’s a great addition locally, and the facilities themselves are modern, well-kept, and enjoyable. As a family, we genuinely want to support venues like this and would happily return to try out more of the activities. That said, the major frustration for us has been the inconsistent approach to the Carer Pass and Blue Light discount. On one visit (3/09) the Carer Pass was accepted but the Blue Light discount was refused on the basis that it wasn’t valid during the school holidays, which was debatable. When we returned on 6/09, the Carer Pass was suddenly refused (despite us bringing all the required documentation) and the Blue Light discount was then declined on the basis it wasn’t valid after 6pm. It feels like the rules change depending on who you speak to, which leaves customers embarrassed and frustrated. I fully appreciate that structure is needed with these passes, especially with so many people now eligible, but it has to be applied fairly and consistently. Either you support the Blue Light services or you don’t; you can’t dip in and out depending on the day. These visits are not cheap, and it is uncomfortable to have to stand at the counter and debate with staff who themselves don’t seem clear on the standards. If Good Time Golfin can bring clarity and consistency around how these passes and discounts are applied, I think it could be an excellent family destination, and we would certainly consider coming back. For now though, the experience left us questioning whether to look at alternatives.

Lots of parking (paid) and the building is lovely and clean. We went to play footgolf and the kids enjoyed it. My only negative is that it’s very expensive to play. The cafe is great as are the outside areas to sit and relax.

“Such a good time golfing! The whole experience was fun, relaxed, and stress-free, making it a perfect day out. The staff are really friendly and welcoming, which makes a big difference. The course itself is easy to play and great for all abilities, so whether you’re just trying golf for the first time or want a casual game, it works really well. It’s also very family-friendly — great for kids and for a fun day out together, especially since it’s located right next to Gripped Hounslow, so you can make a full day of activities. One of the highlights is the interactive screens that track your scores and offer a variety of game modes, which makes it more engaging than just a standard round. The facilities are clean and well looked after, including the toilets, and there are plenty of areas to sit and relax before or after your game. They serve alcohol too, at fair prices, which is a nice extra touch if you’re there with friends. Pricing for golf is around £11 per person depending on the package, which I found to be good value for the experience. Overall, it’s a really enjoyable and affordable activity for families, groups of friends, or even a casual date. With friendly staff, modern features, and a welcoming atmosphere, I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for something fun and different to do.”

Pretty good to be fair . Parking was £1/HR paid AFTER your session (make sure you pay!!) and facilities were great. Not overly expensive menu and portions were okay too. Would go again. Fun few hours out with friends / family. Staff were very friendly. Thank you.
